 came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt. (Exodus 16:1). It was at Mount Sinai, that God spoke to Moses, to remind them of their deliverance from the Egyptians by his divine provisions and guidance; His requirement if you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine. And you shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. We should understand our time of testing is upon us; we that have been brought out of Egypt; also knowing the time of grace is growing to a close. We are being tried in our faith and faithfulness, in obedience to God; remembering his word of promise to supply all our need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Knowing also every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and come down from the Father of light, with who is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. In the dispensation of grace, all believers are unconditionally constituted a "Kingdom of priests" {1 Peter 2:9}. Armed with this knowledge we must not be as those who walk in spiritual darkness, seeing only with eyes of greed and deceitfulness, following the lust of the flesh. I charge you therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering an doctrine. But you watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry.
